Evolution, while it benefits from better visuals, has a dearth of new features appropriate for the new platforms — you can’t even play local multiplayer, while there’s multiplayer on the iPhone version. Even though the original game predates Futurama by a few decades, Blernsball — a jazzed up version of baseball with inscrutable rules — is the best comparison. In addition to the standard goalies on both ends of the field, there are Mouse Trap-style ramps to lob the ball down to double your points’ worth, stars along the side of the arena for quick points, and stationary orbs to hit for even quicker points.
