NGP battery life likely comparable to PSP | Joystiq(General)

Sony’s official estimate for average PSP operation time is 3-5 hours . Those potential power savers are joined by energy-sapping features like a four-core CPU, 3G , and other factors , helping explain the PSP-like battery life. Hey, considering all the amazing goodness they’ve crammed into this thing, I’ll be damned impressed if they manage to retain the battery life of the PSP. It runs an OS suited for gaming, running an OS suited for data usage would kill the battery within an hour playing a game like Killzone or Uncharted. Unless you install a Nand rom where it boots up android instead of the OS & Android. And considering that you’re comparing a RISC processing engine (Android) to a CISC (Windows/Mac OS) shows how little you know about the subject matter about battery life. read more
