SANTA ROSA — Police have arrested a 33-year-old Santa Rosa resident believed to have been involved in a shooting that sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries Saturday evening, police reported. Officers arrived to find a large blood trail leading away from a residence several feet across Stony Point Road. Both victims had sustained major injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to Henry. During a house-to-house search, police found a man hiding inside a residence and arrested him. One of the victims told police that one of the shooters may have fled the area in a white van. Police alerted nearby law enforcement agencies, and a short time later Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputies spotted a white van in the area of Corby and Hearn avenues, not far from the scene of the shooting, Henry said. read more
