Ubisoft’s Mind Quiz Pulled For Offensive Content [06. The Rise of Serious Games [06. The exploit, accessible only by extracting particular data to a users memory stick and running Ubisoft and Q Entertainment’s music puzzler Lumines , lets users run unverified homebrew applications and flash unofficial firmware to the PSP. While Sony has frequently pushed minor functionality updates into firmware upgrades that were otherwise meant to close security breaches in the past, the new firmware is solely meant to patch the flaw. The Japanese update site description notes simply that running unauthorized software and firmware voids the handheld’s warranty. The exploit has had the otherwise unexpected consequence of dramatically increasing sales of Lumines , with Amazon’s stats showing a 5900 percent increase in purchases placing it at the top of the retailer’s sales charts . read more

God Of War: Chains Of Olympus: Demo Coming Sept 7. (Addict 3D)- Topic: PSP News

While we all wait to get our hands on the demo of the upcoming PSP -version of God of War, the dev team are teasing us with a bit of concept art, a screen shot and tales of development. Fans have come to expect these huge landscapes, complex gameplay and visceral combat that God of War I and II gave them. Next up, Justin Murray, the concept and texture artist, who talks about this dandy bit of concept art below the post. I based this design on an olive tree because I thought it had an interesting texture that worked well with the character of my concept, giving the tree a tumor-like surface and distorting its massive form made it appear even more like a petrified monster. read more

Topic: PSP News - Transformers Launch Center [PC PlayStation 2 PSP Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 Wii] (GameSpot)

The game lets you race, transform, and smash your way through events that take you into an open world adventure, mirroring the film’s key moments. While the console games feature the slick updates of classic characters, such as Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Bumblebee, the unlockable content offers some cool surprises for fans of the original-generation bots. I liked Transformers a lot as a kid and the game looks good, the ability to transformer both to bot and car easily and fast is nice. There was not mention at all of the Wii version of the game in it or even any footage only of the Xbox 360 and PS3, I know it’s not much difference in that game but there should be some sort of mention if it’s being used for the Wii review too. Shame the game is average, this whole section for an average game. read more
