In order to take advantage of the free trial period, users must log into the service between now and March 28 of next year, after which they will have six months of free access followed by the ability to purchase a subscription as a “special” rate. Sony Updates PSP Firmware to 3. Sony just recently provided PlayStation 3 owners with an updated firmware, and while they’ve been quiet on the PSP front lately, that’s changed today, with the delivery of PSP 3. Nothing shocking this time around, though video aficionados should be happy to see support for 720×480 video — the resolution of DVDs. Support for thumbnail images of videos that are stored in the “VIDEO” folder of Memory Stick Duo media has been added.
