(General) Worldwide PSP releases for the week of August 10

Monday, August 11th, 2008

My guess is that is they probably expected someone who was buying the GoW one has some background with the PSP, whereas both the Daxter and Madden are starter sets that are for the first time PSP buyer hense having a memory card as well. So I got my first PSP (a Daxter one, quite happy with it) not 4 days ago, and I’ve been looking at the release lists from a few weeks back and I must say. Because I am getting slightly more scared as days go by that the good PSP games have come and gone already. The thing is that, so far, I’ve been getting more enjoyment out of flOw and OutRun 2006 (which is a fantastic game and I am very happy that it’s on the PSP since it’s a fantastic portable game) than from God of War or MGSPO. At the very least, I’d hope those games get an English Option like some DS games got in Japan (Phoenix Wright 1 and 3 for instance, both amazing games). read more

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

Joystiq has you covered with all things Metal Gear Solid 4! These are truly trying times for PSP owners in the US. Thank God I buy mine few months ago, is great, 10+ battery life, the bulk is nothing, I get use to it very fast, I use to charge my PSP 5-6 time in a week, no I do it 2-3 times, I play every day. If you ever considered the purchase at any time, get it while you can. I bought one of these some months ago and came with a cover for the 2000 version but mine is the fat, lucky i did the purchased after knowing the bad news now because i may buy a slim psp soon. This battery is the easiest venue to create a “service battery. read more

So what can you loyal fans do when developers aren’t putting out the type of content worth playing? This is the method I found to be the easiest, combining tips from sites like PSP Slim Hacks and Code Retard . We haven’t personally tested it, but if it works, it works! There are several SNES emulators to choose from, but this SNES emulator runs particularly well on the PSP, lending itself to old school gaming on the go. read more
