LittleBigPlanet is already a big hit for the Sony PS3, having sold 215,000 copies in the first 5 days of sale. Now a rumor about LittleBigPlanet hitting the PSP in 2009 can be found in the gaming magazine EGM according to Kotaku . I do not see the point of a full blown LittleBigPlanet on the PSP, but Sony is trying to find more and more synergies between the PS3 and the PSP.
