Water Main Break Turns Centre Ave. PITTSBURGH — A water main burst in Oakland around 1 p. According to Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority, residents in Oakland, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill and Greenfield have no service or low water pressure. A water conservation appeal has been issued to residents and businesses in Oakland, Squirrel Hill, Shadyside and Greenfield for the next several hours. The city placed water buffalos at several senior citizen high rises in Squirrel Hill. An overwhelming number of calls to the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority caused brief outages to their phone system. read more
